Frozen Foods Packaging

Frozen food packaging that survives the freezer and shines on shelf.

From IQF vegetables and frozen fruit to entrees, ice cream and frozen seafood, Sixto Packaging delivers freezer-grade flexible packaging that resists cracking, delamination and frost bloom — including steamable/microwavable bags that go straight from freezer to table.

Frozen food and frozen produce packaging produced by Sixto Packaging

Overview

Frozen Foods & Frozen Produce packaging, in-house from print to pouch.

We manufacture flexible packaging engineered for sub-zero performance. Low-temperature seal-integrity films, cold-seal and heat-seal barrier structures, and steam-vent perforated formats for microwave-from-frozen use. Frost-resistant inks and laminates keep graphics crisp through freeze-thaw cycles, and hermetic barrier structures protect against freezer burn and dehydration. Our frozen produce bags share the same steam-in-bag expertise as our fresh produce portfolio, while frozen seafood programs leverage the high-barrier, puncture-resistant structures developed for our seafood line.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can't find what you need? Talk to a packaging engineer.

  • What makes a film 'freezer-grade' at Sixto?

Freezer-grade films use low-temperature sealants and toughened laminates that resist brittleness, delamination and seal failure at sub-zero temperatures. We validate seal integrity and drop performance for your target storage and distribution conditions.

  • Can frozen bags go straight from freezer to microwave?

Yes — our steam-in-bag and vented formats are designed for microwave-from-frozen use. Perforation patterns and film structures are tuned to vent safely without splitting or leaking.

  • What is PrimeVent and where does it fit?

PrimeVent is a hermetic venting solution for microwave applications that we apply to our freezer-to-microwave films. Unlike an open perforation, the vent stays hermetically sealed in the freezer and in distribution, then releases steam pressure during microwaving — so the pack is steamable and easy to open without pre-venting the barrier.

  • Do your frozen seafood structures leverage the seafood packaging line?

Absolutely. Frozen seafood and protein pouches use the same high-barrier, puncture-resistant structures developed for our seafood line, with additional low-temperature seal and frost-resistance considerations.
